8/366 Dancing in the ... Fort Whyte Centre walkway

We went tobogganing today. The kids loved it but Sadie (3 y.o.) had enough after four or five runs. There's a small aquarium, a viewing deck for wintering prairie dogs and burrowing owls, and a honey bee hive with glass walls. I thinks she was dancing because she was looking forward to touching all the stuffed wild animals (wolf, badger, bison, polar bears and more).

Kas started learning guitar on my old classical about 4 months ago. His enthusiasm has been contagious. I've been rebuilding my chops along with him. We're having a blast together. Kas was teaching himself Man In The Mirror by Michael Jackson today.

It reads: "Rediscover why we are the best friends in the world."

Seemed apropos.

Tasty Steamed Meat Buns

Tasty Steamed Meat Buns, originally uploaded by dkuropatwa.

That's really the name of the recipe. I don't follow it faithfully though. I add garlic (lots!), ginger, green onions, sesame oil, and fresh chopped cilantro. It's one of my family's favourite things to eat.

Total cooking time start to finish: 4 hrs.

I should've made a double recipe.

Swings at Dusk

We usually have snow banks 5 or 6 feet high at this time of year. This year we've got barely an inch of snow on the ground.
